Lamb Ragu

Chunks of Irish lamb in a rich plum tomato sauce.
We take prime quality Irish shoulder of lamb and slow cook it for hours until it is ready to melt in your mouth. We prepare it with a true Italian recipe from Marcella Hazan. Serve it up with Pennoni Rigate for a real Italian food experience.

Nutrition & Portions Explained
350g portion is appropriate for a healthy & active adult with a good appetite, or two young kids to share.
250g portion is designed to meet the Recommended Daily Allowances for each ingredient and is ideal for those following a weight control plan.
Serving suggestion
Lovely served with pasta, we like to use rigatoni and shavings of parmasan cheese.
Cooking Instructions
These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a different set of power ratings. Adjust accordingly. Make sure your food is piping hot (>70ºC) before serving.
For best results use your microwave oven.
Microwave:
From Frozen : Use defrost setting on your Microwave for at least 12 mins. Check to see if it is piping hot at the centre. If not, return to the microwave oven at high setting for another 1/2 minutes.
Defrosted : High setting for 3 mins. Check to see if it is piping hot at the centre. If not, return to the microwave oven at high setting for another few minute.
On the hob:
Empty into a saucepan over medium heat . Reheat slowly until piping hot. Add water or stock if the sauce is drying out.
Storage: Store at <-18°C If defrosted, refrigerate at <5°C & eat within 24hrs
