Moroccan Spiced Cous Cous with Chickpeas & Toasted Almonds

We've prepared some quality couscous in our own vegetable stock, flavoured with a mixture of Moroccan spices, to give you a really tasty accompaniment to our Moroccan and Sicilian dishes. You can also use it as a base for your own salad.
Cous Cous (Wheat), Chickpeas, Vegetable Stock (Celery), Unsweetened Almond Milk (Tree nuts), Saffron Water, Almonds (Tree nuts), Turmeric, Olive Oil, Coriander seeds, Cumin Seeds, Ground Ginger, Salt, Ground Cinnamon.
Nutrition & Portions Explained
A 200g portion is appropriate for a healthy & active adult with a good appetite or two lighter eaters to share.
A flavourful and hearty side with chickpeas and almonds. It’s perfect for summer for a healthy lunch or as a side with fish or chicken for a filling, exciting dinner.
These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a different set of power ratings. Adjust accordingly. Make sure your food is piping hot (>70°C) before serving.
For best results use your microwave oven
From Frozen : Puncture the cellophane several times. Use defrost setting on your Microwave for at least 8 mins. Check to see if it is piping hot at the centre. If not, return to the microwave oven at high setting for another few minutes.
Defrosted : High setting for 2 mins. Check to see if it is piping hot at the centre. If not, return to the
microwave oven at high setting for another few minute.
*As many of our dishes as possible are made without the most common allergens, for instance we use corn flour instead of wheat flour in our sauces. While we make dishes that are wheat, nut and dairy free, we do handle these products in our Kitchen.
