Mulled Pear Crumble

Pear Crumble with mulled red wine syrup.
We wanted to make a dessert that absolutely everybody could enjoy and that was Christmassy too. We stew fresh pear in mulled wine until it is cooked just right, not mushy, not too firm. Then we top it off with a crunchy topping using plant butter and gluten-free flour. Serve up with a blob of ice cream. It's delish.

Conventional Fan Oven Preheat oven to 75ºC. Puncture the cellophane several times before placing in oven for about 15/20 mins. Defrosted: reduce heating time to 15 minutes or until the product is warmed through.
Microwave Oven Puncture the cellophane several times before placing in microwave. From Frozen: Use the Defrost Program or low power for about 3/4 minutes. Check that the product is fully defrosted and if needed, return for another 30s/1min. Defrosted: Medium Setting for about 45s/1min. or until the product is warmed through.
