Prime Irish Beef  in a rich peanut sauce.

Massaman Beef Curry is a favourite in homes of southern Thailand. We make ours with a Massaman Curry Paste made in our own kitchen and using prime Irish grass-fed beef.

Ingredients

Irish Beef, Coconut Milk, Blanched Peanuts, Pressed Pineapple Juice, Palm Sugar, Fish Sauce (Fish), Massaman Curry Paste [Garlic, Coriander, Shallots, Peanuts, Cumin Seed, Nutmeg, Red Chillies, Green Cardamom, Galangal, Lemongrass, Coriander Seed, Cloves], Shallots, Tamarind Paste, Bay Leaf, Green Cardamom, Sea Salt, Black Pepper

Nutrition & Portions Explained

A 350g portion is appropriate for a healthy & active adult with a good appetite.

This dish contains a lot of plant-based saturated fats due to the high content of Coconut Milk. It is okay to indulge occasionally but you should ensure attention is paid to your total Saturated Fats intake over the day and week.

Delicious with our Jasmine rice.

Cooking  Instructions

These cooking instructions are only a guide. Your appliance may have a different set of power ratings. Adjust accordingly. Make sure your food is piping hot (>70°C) before serving.


For best results use your microwave oven

Microwave

Puncture the cellophane several times before placing it in the microwave
From Frozen: Use the  Defrost Program or low power for about  12 minutes. Shake or stir the contents and then return at high power for 2/3 minutes more, to ensure that it is piping hot.
Defrosted: High Setting for about 3/4 minutes

On the Hob

Transfer contents to saucepan and heat slowly until piping hot. Remember to add water to prevent the sauce from drying out.

Conventional Oven


Preheat oven to 180ºC. Puncture the cellophane several times before placing it in the oven for about 25 mins. If defrosted, reduce cooking time to 15 minutes.

Storage

Store at <-18ºC If defrosted, refrigerate at <5ºC & eat within 24hrs
